Experience the rare opportunity to witness Olive Ridley and Green Pacific sea turtles laying their eggs and even watch as hatchlings emerge and make their way to the ocean on the Tamarindo Turtle Nesting Tour. This guided ecological tour offers a unique chance to see beloved Costa Rican turtles in their natural habitat.
Led by a bilingual local guide, you’ll be picked up from Tamarindo and driven to a protected beach located 30 minutes away.
Due to the sensitive nature of this naturalist tour, local guides prohibit the use of flashlights or flashes on cameras, but you can still take photos. A special red light will be provided by the guide that won’t disturb the turtles.
The turtles can be seen year-round, but October through April is the peak season for turtle nesting.
